The Palmer's Founder's Day Service
3rd November 2024

Norman Harper’s younger brother Malcolm, an Old Palmerian ( 1965- 1972) and also a Lay Minister in the Winchester Diocese, gave the sermon.
In it he expressed his gratitude for his education at Palmer’s and especially for the Music, Choir and Opera that helped to shape his career.
He then offered his thoughts on the Magnificat, Mary’s praise to her God in Luke Chapter 1.
Margaret Nathan, an Old Palmerian and a relative of the Harper Brothers, once again organised the music in the event, and we are grateful to her for all her work behind the scenes.
In addition to the stalwart band of Old Boys and Girls making up the Choir, there were about 15 Old Palmerians in the congregation.
Tthanks are due to everyone for making this tribute to the School, so many years now after it closed.
